In loving memory of our friend and colleague, John Stahmer. John was unlike any other. As a team member, he connected with prospects and clients, was a natural leader among his colleagues, and was a source of vast product and industry knowledge. His dedication to friends, family, and the firm; his kindness and compassion; his sense of humor; and his ability to talk to anyone and everyone left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege to know him. Our hearts are with Shannon, Blair, and Weston. John will be deeply missed.

Proud to announce that Shiloh Bates, Chief Investment Officer and Partner at Flat Rock Global, LLC, will be speaking at the LPGP Connect 11th Annual Private Debt New York event on April 9, 2025. Shiloh Bates, CFA joined Flat Rock Global in 2018 and is a Partner and Chief Investment Officer. Prior to that, he was a Managing Director at Benefit Street Partners. During his 20-year career, Mr. Bates has worked for several CLO managers and has been one of the largest investors in CLO securities. He wrote the book, CLO Investing with a focus on CLO Equity and BB Notes. He is also the host of the CLO Investor Podcast. Shiloh has a BA from Virginia Tech in Political Science, an MA in Public Policy from Harvard University, an MA in Financial Mathematics from the University of Chicago, and an MA in Statistics from Columbia University.
