Gevel herstelling van historische pand in Lier zonder overlast of hinder voor het voorbijgaande verkeer. Bij oudere woningen komt het vaak voor: stukken cementbezetting die loskomen door de tand des tijds. Naast het risico op vallende brokstukken, kan dit ook vochtproblemen in huis veroorzaken. Voor deze particuliere woning in Lier, vlakbij het station, hebben we de beschadigde zones van de gevel uit 1926 hersteld met een op maat gekleurde cementering van Rewah NV die mooi aansluit bij de bestaande afwerking. Door de hoogte van het gebouw en de beperkte toegang (smal voetpad + straat met éénrichtingsverkeer) was het plaatsen van een stelling of hoogwerker geen optie. Gezien de omvang van de schade, was de kost van zulke traditionele methodes bovendien moeilijk te verantwoorden. Met rope access konden we deze herstelling snel en kosteneffici?nt uitvoeren, zonder langdurige inname van openbaar terrein of overlast voor de buurt. In a recent rescue operation, Placer Co. CA firefighters successfully saved a 16-year-old boy trapped approximately 50 feet underground in an abandoned mine shaft. The rescue team demonstrated exceptional skill and bravery, utilizing specialized equipment to ensure the safety and efficiency of the operation. IRATA ICOP Annex P If you are a rope access technician and have never looked upon the annexes in the ICOP, now is a very good time to start reading. The last step in the protection of our system falls to in line or on line protection. With lots of manufacturers to choose from what is classed as adequate? We need to evaluate the hazards in order to define the level of protection the equipment needs to provide us with. Some simple guides to selection. 1. What type of hazard am I working with. sharp edge, abrasive surface, heat source, can it be avoided. 2. What type of rope protection is required. On line/ In line. Do I need to pass it, do I need to haul/ lower through it, how and where is it being attached, will it stay in place, does it offer the protection required. Verify, check that it is adequate for the task. Solid protectors, Canvas protectors, or combinations of both, as the rope access world continues to develop so does the kit we use and the market has generated some extremely good solutions. Best thing to do, see them and evaluate them for yourself, gone are the days of the simple single skin canvas, now we look for equipment that is fit for task and adequate for the protection we need.
