Ahead of a recent two-week journey to South America combining business meetings with a 72km trek through Patagonia as part of the first Fj?llr?ven Classic Chile, Fj?llr?ven CEO, Martin, posted the following message which we’d like to share here:? ? Before departing from Stockholm, I packed my essentials into the F?RDEN Carry-On Bag, filled the F?RDEN Roller 75 with business and training gear, and prepared the F?RDEN Roller 120 with all the equipment needed for the trek. These bags, made from sturdy recycled polyamide, are built to last. Each features heavy-duty, lockable zippers, numerous pockets, and built-in dividers to keep everything organized—perfect companions for both business and adventure. ? ? As many of you travel frequently and have experience with great travel gear, I’d love to hear your thoughts. What are the key features and details you value most in a travel bag for business and adventure?? ? If you have time - Your insights would be invaluable!? ? 关于我们
In 1960, ?ke Nordin founded Fj?llr?ven in the Swedish town of ?rnsk?ldsvik. Since then, Fj?llr?ven has made a commitment to high quality and high-end design, while staying true to our mission of developing timeless, functional and durable outdoor equipment, acting responsible towards people, animals and nature and inspiring people to get outside. We want to inspire and enable more people to experience nature. We do this by developing clothing and equipment that make the outside safer, warmer, dryer and generally more enjoyable. And by running events that provide the framework and support to make nature more accessible. We’re a team of nature lovers, some more experienced than others, that likes to spend as much time outdoors as possible. In our offices and our stores we are designers, product developers, buyers, administrators, marketers, communicators, sales staff, customer service reps and business developers. In nature though, we’re all the same. Do you want to help us to inspire and enable more people to walk with nature? We're always interested in people who want to join our trek. Unique opportunity to study Arctic Fox habitats this summer. The Arctic Fox (Vulpes lagopus) is a species close to our heart and we’re proud supporters of the Save the Arctic Fox Project - a research group in ecology at Stockholm University who study the demography and genetics of the Arctic fox.??They’re now looking for volunteers to help study the species and its environment for three weeks in July across the Swedish mountains and tundra. Find out more to see if you’ve got what it takes to help save a species:

We found a few time capsules in the old barn once owned by Fj?llr?ven founder, ?ke Nordin. Today, it’s home to a pretty special historical collection of outdoor gear and looked after by our Field Tester and Product Specialist, Harald Born. It’s 2018. Two tired trekkers happen to stop to catch their breath by the same rock along the trail of Fj?llr?ven Classic Sweden, only to have their breath taken away by each other. Five years later, Ton and Lorena got engaged at the same spot, and then they completed the trilogy by actually getting married on the trail during the 2024 trek! You never know when true love will strike. We can’t always promise such hot gossip from the trail, but when you join our newsletter we can deliver all the latest info regarding routes, dates and tickets for upcoming Fj?llr?ven Classic events. We’re pleased to announce we don’t have a new CEO.
20 Years of Leadership – A New Tradition Begins This year marks 20 years since I had the privilege of taking over the leadership from our founder, ?ke Nordin. Two decades of challenges, growth, added value, hard work, learnings and—above all—great experiences together with fantastic people. As we step into a new season, I’ve decided to start a new tradition: an open letter at the beginning of each new season. A way to share reflections, learnings, and insights from our journey—past, present, and future. Please let me know if you are missing anything or if I can clarify any topics. https://lnkd.in/dWPJ7eW8

It’s 1966. Science, both fictitious and real, is a hot topic. Governments everywhere are sending scientists on research missions, leaving no part of the world unexplored. Greenland, with its vast glaciers and challenging landscape is the destination for a Scandinavian group of alpinists and researchers who head off equipped with Fj?llr?ven backpacks and tents. The mission is a success. The group return home armed with extensive studies of Greenland’s glaciers, but they were disappointed with the performance of their clothing. Fj?llr?ven founder, ?ke Nordin, saw a challenge. Could he create the perfect all-round outdoor adventure jacket? A jacket that kept you warm and dry; that wouldn't wear out or weigh you down. After many months spent prototyping and borrowing ideas from ski jumpers from the north of Sweden, ?ke developed his G-1000 fabric and Greenland Wax. The rest is history. The Greenland Jacket, launched in 1968, went on to enable a whole generation of nature lovers to spend more time outdoors. Almost 60 years later, with minor revisions to the fit and updates to more eco-friendly materials, it’s one of our most iconic products. Find yours here: https://lnkd.in/gXDBeRQz #Fjallraven

On a bitterly cold night in 1974, Fj?llr?ven founder ?ke Nordin decided to never feel cold again. He did not know it at the time, but he was starting a journey to create the legendary Expedition Down Jacket. He just wanted to stop his teeth from chattering. The formula was simple: he hated being cold, so he designed a jacket that insulated against freezing temperatures better than any other on the market.??Today, we have the 1974 Expedition Series, a range of functional winter jackets inspired by the original. The looks of them have changed little over the years, testament to the timeless design of the original, and we know plenty of people who are still wearing theirs after more than 30 years thanks to our commitment to durability. Check out our Instagram Stories and test your knowledge of durability durable with our quiz. https://lnkd.in/gKBfmMiB #Fjallraven
