Working with Veteran owned companies is a good way to give back to the people that volunteered to defend our country, it can unlock funding opportunities, and Veteran business owners are often strong active community members hiring locally and giving back to their local communities at every chance they can. Perhaps even more importantly being in the military imparts a can do attitude that translates well to small business operations. Veterans understand what it means to work under pressure, to be efficient with resources, and how to get stuff done. This article highlights my experience in the US Navy and what it imparted to me as a Veteran business owner, enjoy!
