Leadership success starts with building trust, communicating openly, and enhancing emotional intelligence. Research shows that leaders who foster trust see a 50% boost in productivity, while 76% of employees feel more engaged. To build trust, align on expectations; for communication, be transparent and inclusive. Lastly, cultivate emotional intelligence to connect deeply with your team. ????? - - #FIULead #BetterLeadersBetterWorld #LeadershipDevelopment

We provide leadership development that transforms and emboldens individuals and organizations all over the world.
关于我们
At the Center for Leadership at Florida International University (FIU), we partner with capable leaders and organizations in a purposeful process to set the stage for continued growth and development. Time and again, we see that small adjustments, new ways of tackling a problem, increased awareness, and doing things just a little bit differently add up to have a HUGE impact. We seek to help each participant find those micro-adjustments, as well as a cohesive plan for action. We have worked with over 6,000 leaders during the last 16 years, from C-Suite executives and military generals to front-line managers and aspiring leaders. Participants have come from 23 countries and over 350 different organizations, and our custom programs have engaged both medium-sized and large organizations - from long-term initiatives with 3 of the 10 largest school districts in the United States, to projects and engagements in healthcare and retail, technology and manufacturing, to investment advisory, and everything in between. We are passionate about what we do and proud to do our best to “make a dent” in our local, regional, and global community. Using a multidisciplinary approach based on the integration of empirical research in leadership development and applied best practices, we focus on creating better leaders for a better world. ?? Fascinating insights into the often underappreciated but critical role of the Chief of Staff in corporate leadership. This first-of-its-kind study reveals how COSs drive strategy, manage executive dynamics, and amplify the CEO’s impact. ?? Check out the research and learn why this role is 'hiding in plain sight'. ?? Publication: https://lnkd.in/eKagXqpK ?? Summary from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE): https://lnkd.in/efJXdXBU ?? Who is the "Chief of Staff" in corporate contexts? And what do they do in terms of influencing strategic leadership? Our research team was inspired to study these questions as we began to learn about this growing and fascinating role in corporate leadership. These Chiefs of Staff (#COS #chiefofstaff) seemed to hold incredible influence despite being overlooked -- at least in academic management research. We read some great blog and popular press pieces, like the Harvard Business Review 2020 "Case for a Chief of Staff" (https://lnkd.in/gpfwhuBA) that further pointed to the need for a comprehensive, data-driven study of the role. Thanks to a partnership with Tyler Parris and his ChiefofStaff.Expert network, we're thrilled to share just that: a peer-reviewed, academic journal article presenting a data-driven foundational investigation into the Chief of Staff, who they are, and what they do. Thank you also to my co-authors: Nathan Hiller, Steve Zaccaro, Lauren Campbell, Renee McCauley, and Richard Klimoski for helping bring this study to life. READ HERE: https://lnkd.in/ewNi-DCD Also, a huge thank you to the LSE Business Review for already featuring our article on their blog! This is a great summary of our main findings. https://lnkd.in/eDyHm-WU We're excited to continue building on this research stream, so we can continue finding data-driven answers to important questions on who and what leads organizations to success -- and how does the Chief of Staff contribute to that? #academia #research #business #leadership #csuite #chief #organizations George Mason University George Mason University - Department of Psychology George Mason University – Costello College of Business George Mason University - College of Humanities and Social Sciences

This 3-day training will completely transform your life! Sound familiar? Alternative: What if small tweaks over a bigger time period could create an even bigger impact?! At the core of the Center for Leadership @ FIU’s approach is the idea that leadership development is about getting better at the behaviors of leading – focusing on small adjustments – rather than opining about grand philosophies and theories. Yet while real and useful growth requires tailoring tangible skills development and competency-based action – it also requires self-insight and reflection (and of course, individual support). When designed and executed well, this ecosystem for development is replenishing and regenerative – creating new growth and restoring resilience of individual leaders who then generate leadership capacity throughout their environment.
