Today we recognize Robert Noll, Senior Associate, in celebration of his 10-year Fitz-versary this month. Robert is a Licensed Architect in the State of Illinois, a member of FitzGerald's "Design Lab" committee, a frequent participant in FitzCares initiatives, and an organizer of our monthly “3D Day”—a chance for the whole office to step back from project work and gather for lively discussions about the designs and ideas that spark our creative fire. Over his 10-year tenure, he has contributed to several of FitzGerald’s prestigious multifamily projects, including North+Vine and Foundry in Chicago and Artisan in Cleveland, Ohio, as well as the firm's entry into the C40 Reinventing Cities Competition. Robert’s expertise in architecture, mathematics, and music fuels his unparalleled creativity and precision, distinguishing his contributions to project teams. This unique blend fosters a remarkable balance that consistently delivers innovative and meticulously crafted designs. With a deep understanding of architectural principles, a keen problem-solving ability, and an acute eye for detail, Robert’s multidisciplinary approach enables him to approach projects from fresh perspectives, leading to groundbreaking solutions that exceed client expectations. As architects, our role is to engage with cities in efforts to support and revitalize neighborhoods. Park Station brings 58 apartments to Chicago's Woodlawn neighborhood, 70% of which will be affordable units, and new retail that aims to encourage additional engagement and growth. Last week we were honored to host a studio tour for the Chicago Architecture Center's 2024 Teen Fellows and then join their project critique. FitzGerald's participation is led by Luis Salgado, who joins one of his own mentors from his days at City Colleges of Chicago-Harold Washington College, professor Ivanhoe Tejeda (who once worked for FitzGerald—small world!) to educate and mentor today's CAC Teen Fellows.
