UCCA Center for Contemporary Art has unveiled “Anicka Yi: There Exists Another Evolution, But In This One,” the first solo exhibition by acclaimed Korean-American artist Anicka Yi in China and her most extensive presentation to date. Featuring nearly 40 works spanning her career—including a number of pieces newly commissioned for the presentation—this exhibition offers a unique experience of Yi’s constantly evolving practice. The exhibition is co-organized by UCCA Center for Contemporary Art, and Leeum Museum of Art, and co-curated by Peter Eleey, UCCA Curator-at-Large, and Gina Lee, Curator, Leeum Museum of Art. “Anicka Yi: There Exists Another Evolution, But In This One” will be on view at UCCA's Beijing location from March 22, 2025, to June 15, 2025. dib Bangkok, Thailand’s first major museum dedicated to international contemporary art, is set to open its doors in December 2025. Founded by the Osathanugrah family and designed by WHY Architecture, this three-story converted Bangkok warehouse will showcase significant Thai and international contemporary art, fostering creativity and learning for visitors from around the world. The inaugural exhibition will honor the legacy and artistic philosophy of the late Petch Osathanugrah by highlighting major works from the Dib Bangkok collection, including pieces by Montien Boonma, Lee Bul, Anselm Kiefer, Alicja Kwade, and other key artists whose works create a visual dialogue through the theme of "invisible presence". Nestled in the Rama IV-Kluaynamthai area, the museum spans three floors of exhibition space and follows a minimal yet nuanced design inspired by the Buddhist concept of enlightenment as visitors journey upwards. Dib’s inventive space will also include a “Chapel”—a cone-shaped gallery with a mosaic-tiled exterior, a 15,000-square-foot central courtyard, an outdoor sculpture garden, and a penthouse for special events. Led by Chairman and President Purat (Chang) O., and inaugural Director Dr. Miwako Tezuka, the museum holds a collection of over 1,000 works by more than 200 artists from Thailand and around the world challenges perceptions, sparks dialogue, and invites deep reflection on the complexities of human existence. #DibBangkok #FITZClient #bangkokartscene #contemporaryart

On view until March 9 at the Norton Museum of Art, "Strike Fast, Dance Lightly: Artists on Boxing" is the largest comprehensive survey of artistic representations of boxing in more than 20 years, featuring paintings, videos, sculptures, and works on paper by artists such as Jean-Michel Basquiat, Edward Hopper, Ed Ruscha, Alison Saar, and even Muhammad Ali. The exhibition explores the global sport and its cultural impact through the lens of over 80 artists. From January 13-15, digital artist Beeple, along with FITZ & CO and the Toledo Museum of Art, hosted the Digital Canvas Summit at his studio in Charleston, SC.
