    Today I officially launched my product, FIT Candy, in its first retail store at the legendary Corti Brothers premium grocery store in Sacramento, CA. I sold out with 70 bags in under four hours because FIT Candy truly solves a genuine problem for its customers and is backed by an entrepreneur that is truly passionate about solving that problem in health and sustainability. It was a pleasure to meet all of the wonderful Corti Brothers customers today and I look forward to stocking their shelves with my product next Sunday! I couldn’t be more thankful to have the support and mentorship from a food industry legend like Darrel Corti! Starting this business has been a tremendous experience for me and has taught me things I will carry with me for the rest of my professional career. I couldn’t be more excited to see what comes next for FIT Candy!

    Discover Fit Candy – a sweet, sustainable treat! UC Davis student Dion Skaria created the gummy candy that blends sweet and sour flavors, with only 20 calories and less than a gram of sugar per bag. The creation by the food science major is made from upcycled watermelon rinds, which are packed with vitamins, minerals, fiber and antioxidants. “People love to eat candy, but there’s not a whole lot of healthy, all natural, made with real fruit options out there,” Skaria said. “I wanted to create a product that is not only healthy for me and you, but something that is also healthy for the environment.” https://lnkd.in/gZXaxCp9
