We are celebrating another milestone together with the Nansemond Indian Nation this weekend with the grand opening of our first multispecialty health care facility at 2929 London Blvd in Portsmouth. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who worked tirelessly to help make our vision possible! It really does take a village. ?? Community Spotlight: East Ocean View Event ?? We're excited to share insights from our community liaison, Petronella, who recently attended an empowering event hosted by Latinos En Virginia Centro De Empoderamiento at the East Ocean View Community and Senior Center in Norfolk. This special resource fair, primarily aimed at the Spanish-speaking community, provided support and information to those affected by intimate partner violence, human trafficking, and sexual abuse. Despite statistics showing that up to 50% of Latinos experiencing intimate partner violence do not seek help, events like these play a crucial role in bridging the gap. Participants had the opportunity to connect with various agencies including WIC, Virginia Beach Public Library, and the Norfolk Law Library. Additionally, attendees received a box of non-perishable food items, contributing to both immediate and long-term support.
