Kicking off the new school year, FirstLight proudly announced the recipients of ten scholarships for family members of FirstLight employees continuing their education — doubling the scholarship program in its second year and expanding into Ontario.? Our Director of People and Culture, Steve Ryan, said it best, “FirstLight is excited to double our scholarship opportunities for our employee families in the United States and Canada from five awardees in our inaugural year to ten recipients in 2024... We are so proud to give back to our FirstLight team and extend our support to their loved ones, contributing to continued education for the FirstLight families that inspire us every day. FirstLight was proud to?join the?Environmental League of Massachusetts (ELM),?Ceres, Inc., NECEC and over 25 other businesses and institutions to call on the Massachusetts Legislature to pass the 2024 Climate Omnibus Bill before?the legislative session ends on?July 31st. ? This bill includes key provisions on siting and permitting reform, clean energy and energy storage deployment, decarbonization of transportation infrastructure and more. Passing this critical legislation will keep Massachusetts on track to build an equitable, clean energy future and a thriving economy. ?
