As Black History Month comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to celebrate the conversations, learning, and moments of connection shared across our FIRST community ? Throughout February, our BIPOC Employee Interest Group curated opportunities to reflect on Black culture, history, and excellence—past and present. From a powerful book club discussion on Razorblade Tears to weekly spotlights on Black change-makers in film, music, sports, and activism, we engaged in meaningful dialogue about representation, resilience, and impact. We also shared resources to support Black-owned businesses, honored trailblazers like Shirley Chisholm and Autumn Lockwood, and explored the creative influence of icons like Tina Turner, Ava DuVernay, and Beyoncé. And in true FIRST fashion, we did it together—with curiosity, appreciation, and a commitment to amplifying Black voices year-round. To our BIPOC team and all who contributed—thank you for fostering a culture of learning and action. With the Super Bowl just around the corner, we are reminiscing about this unforgettable event, which brought local, national, and international media together to celebrate the Host Committee's efforts and kick off an incredible week of excitement. Held at the iconic Chelsea Piers, this city-wide celebration highlighted the best of the local community, featuring?20 local restaurants?from the five boroughs and Garden State serving their signature dishes. Covenant House International, provides immediate and long-term support for young people in the US facing, at risk of, or recovering from homelessness or trafficking. ?? The Felix Project, a London-based charity dedicated to tackling food poverty and reducing food waste. ?? OzHarvest, Australia’s leading food rescue organization that aims to stop food waste, feed people in need, and protect our planet by championing the value of food and driving change at all levels of society.
