? Creating Accountability in Leadership – FCMA Leadership Academy at CMC ? What a great day at CMC for our FCMA Frontline Supervisor I class! Yesterday's session on Creating Accountability was filled with insightful discussions, real-world applications, and powerful leadership lessons. A huge THANK YOU to everyone at CMC who helped make this experience so impactful! Your time, effort, and engagement made a lasting impression on our class. ?? Special appreciation to: ?? Carolina Hernandez, Carolyn Mathis and Brian Banks – for leading the coordination of the day's activities, arranging for meals, and providing IT support. ?? John Quarles – for starting us off with a solid safety briefing. ?? Jacob Garrison – for delivering an excellent company overview and plant operations summary. ?? Rui Badaraco, Ricardo Peruchi, Mozart Queiroz Neto, PhD, Kayla Fields, Camilo Rodrigo, @Josh Smallwood, and Brandon Martin – for leading an informative and engaging plant tour. ?? Rodney Thompson, Brandon Martin, and Rui Badaraco – for wrapping up the day with an impactful leadership Q&A panel. Rodney and Brandon, your personal experiences and reflections on leadership accountability truly resonated with our class and aligned perfectly with today’s topic. A few standout quotes from our panelists: ?? Rodney: ?? “The opportunity that the FCMA Leadership Academy programs provided me was invaluable.” ?? “A previous mentor taught me two words—expectations and accountability. You can’t have one without the other.” ?? “Accountability is not always just negative feedback.” ?? “I remember my challenging employee from when I took this class—by using what I learned here, I found a new role for him, and now he’s excelling.” ?? Brandon: ?? “I have seen employees holding each other accountable when someone isn’t doing their part and it impacts the team’s ability to earn a reward.” ?? “The challenge is not the employee—it’s me. How do I manage my team and adapt to each individual in order to achieve our goals?” These expressions reinforced that creating accountability is about setting clear expectations, equipping teams for success, and creating an ownership culture. We know that hosting a class like this takes time and effort, and we appreciate CMC’s support and commitment to developing future leaders. ?? Thank you again to everyone who made today an outstanding learning experience! #LeadershipDevelopment #CreatingAccountability #FCMALeadershipAcademy #FrontLineSupervisors #ThankYou #Gratitude #ProfessionalGrowth #LeadershipInAction First Coast Manufacturers Association Shift 7 Leadership; Mike Templeton Andrew Auld Claire H.
