Today, FCCB had the opportunity to volunteer at Commonwealth Charter Academy’s Financial Reality Fair in Wilkes-Barre! High school students stepped into real-world financial scenarios - balancing their monthly budgets while making decisions about careers, housing, transportation, credit scores, and unexpected life events. Dr. Stephanie McHugh, who led the program, kicked off the day sharing why this experience is so valuable, pointing out how it “brings real-world relevance into the classroom.” It was inspiring to see students engage with financial concepts in a hands-on way, guided by career counselors, teachers, and banking volunteers. We’re looking forward to next year!
