We attended a press conference at the Willow Glen Community Extended Day Enrichment Program to highlight the community impact and distribution of funds from the Childcare Expansion Grant Program. The funds will continue to help local early educators hire staff, expand their centers, and give more families access to child care slots for their young children. Thank you to Supervisor Susan Ellenberg for highlighting this effort and to community partners for helping to make this program a reality: Valley Health Foundation, Santa Clara County Office of Education, the Office of Children and Families Policy, and the Low Income Investment Fund.

Our partners at Grail Family Services (GFS) hosted their Advocacy Summit on Early Childhood Education and Child Care last Saturday. This event helped equip community members with the tools needed to drive change for children, share insights, and learn about early child care policy.

Congratulations to the Santa Clara County Early Childhood Education Apprenticeship program graduates! In partnership with Mission College, Early Care & Education Pathways to Success, County of Santa Clara, and others, individuals in the program completed free college courses and received paid work experience to develop their skills. We are so proud of them and know they are well-prepared for the next steps in their career journey.

Dedicated students in the Santa Clara County Early Learning Apprenticeship Program graduated over the weekend at Educare California at Silicon Valley. They now have their associate teacher permit and are on their way to a rewarding career in the early childhood education field.
