Leadership Update at First Tee – Greater Chicago Lea Jesse, our CEO, will step down on January 31, 2025, to begin an exciting new chapter as Vice President & Executive Director of Cubs Charities. The Executive Committee has named Jill Sylvester as Interim CEO. Jill will resume this role immediately while we conduct a search for Lea’s successor. Jill has been an integral part of our organization for nearly three years, serving as Chief of Staff and demonstrating exceptional leadership. Our programming remains unaffected, with our talented staff well-positioned to advance our mission to empower youth through golf. We are deeply grateful for Lea’s transformative leadership and wish her every success in her next chapter. Meet Carter, one of the amazing students in our First Tee School Program, supported by KPMG’s generous three-year investment. With this support, about 30 students in grades 3-5 and 6-8 at St. Ethelreda School experience year-round learning that includes in-school and on-course lessons from September through May, plus fun and educational field trips during the summer. KPMG’s investment helps provide coaches, supplies, and transportation, making sure every student has what they need to succeed both on and off the course. Carter’s excitement and growth show what’s possible when we invest in young people.
