The First Responder Network Authority, through an innovative public-private partnership, is developing the first nationwide public safety broadband network. FirstNet provides first responders the advanced technologies they need to save lives and keep their communities safe. FirstNet is a single, interoperable, highly secure wireless broadband communications network for America’s fire, law enforcement, EMS and other public safety personnel. Meet FirstNet Authority Tribal Liaison Jasper Bruner! Jasper spent more than 20 years in Tribal law enforcement and public safety. Throughout his career, he saw technology and communication tools change and evolve. He also worked with tribes to understand their public safety needs and relay that information to the state emergency management council. Now with the FirstNet Authority, Jasper continues his work as an advocate for Indian Country. He meets with tribes across the nation to understand their challenges and explain how FirstNet might benefit their communities, and he uses their feedback to help evolve the network to support Tribal responders.
