Today marks the 23rd anniversary of the tragic events of September 11, 2001. On this day, we honor the 3,000 lives lost and the heroes who emerged during one of our nation’s darkest moments. Their bravery, sacrifice, and the unity that followed continue to inspire us. Let’s honor their memory by showing kindness each day and standing together as one. #NeverForget

Buy groceries, or buy menstrual products? It’s a choice that women facing #PeriodPoverty have to make each month. That’s why, since 2019, we’ve donated more than 1 million products – primarily menstrual pads – to Moisson Montréal, which in turn provides the pads to community-based organizations such as Monthly Dignity. “Everybody needs to feel comfortable functioning in their daily lives, with their basic needs met,” said Hayley Newman-Petryshen, co-director at Monthly Dignity, which works to fight the causes and consequences of period poverty in Montréal. “Being able to offer a product of good quality, that is safe, to people who are already in many instances feeling unsafe, that’s huge.” Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/ejDMJSje #MakeThingsBetter #FirstQuality #Innovation #PeopleMakeItPossible #PeriodEquity #Manufacturing #ManufacturingNews

Did you know that #DiaperInsecurity affects 1 in every 2 U.S. families? In fact, 3 in 5 parents will miss work or school because they can’t afford the diapers required to leave their baby in childcare. As we get ready to rev up for #DiaperNeedAwarenessWeek in September, we’re shining the spotlight on our long-term partner, Cradles to Crayons, an extraordinary non-profit focused on ending Clothing Insecurity across the U.S. - and that includes ensuring babies and toddlers have the diapers they need to thrive. For more on our partnership with Cradles to Crayons and how to get involved, visit https://bit.ly/3YM5hjK. Stay tuned for more ways to help support the fight to #EndDiaperNeed in your local community! #NationalNonprofitDay #NND #DNAW #MakeThingsBetter #LoveMyFQFamily #EndClothingInsecurity (Source: National Diaper Bank Network)

Since 2021, we have been working hand-in-hand with Cradles to Crayons? to fight diaper need, providing more than 20 million diapers and 10 million baby wipes to families across the United States. To mark the ongoing partnership, Cradles to Crayons hosted a volunteer event last month for our team members and their families at the Cradles to Crayons Giving Factory? in Philadelphia (Cradles to Crayons Philadelphia). To date, more than 120 First Quality team members have volunteered at the location, spending over 300 hours sorting, cleaning, and repacking donated items, as well as helping to distribute thousands of diapers to partner organizations. "Clothing is a basic human right, and diapers are a child’s very first item of essential clothing. And yet, each year, 1 in 2 families across the U.S. experiences diaper need,” said Lynn Margherio, founder and CEO of Cradles to Crayons. "We are grateful for the incredible support that we have received from First Quality over the past three years to support our mission and help mitigate clothing and diaper insecurity for families across our country.” Read More: https://bit.ly/4cBg1Fc
