This month for #TeamTuesday we spoke to Kerri Coleman, Loan Closing Specialist I, from our Birmingham office. She joined FNBB on April Fool’s Day in 2018. She grew up in a small town in Alabama where she was raised a diehard Alabama football fan but received her college degree from Auburn University, which she said always makes for a fun conversation, then Baton Rouge (LSU territory) for over 29 years. In May of 2021, she made her way back to Alabama. She has two children: Alexandra and Adam. She enjoys watching documentaries, Georgia road trips for sister time, and house projects that turn out (fingers crossed) like a professional did it. What do you like most about working at FNBB? FNBB provides a supportive environment. I see and feel this through the questions I am asked from others when they do not see me in the office, the texts after work to check on me, the thank you emails as well as encouraging emails. It is more than a job; it is family vibe connection through reaching out with words and actions. What’s the weirdest food you’ve eaten? I pretty much stay with what I know, but there was a time where I was dared to eat a chocolate grasshopper. It was a little too much like the nostalgic Freshen-Up gum from back in the day. I was not a huge fan, but a dare is a dare when your children cheer you on. I will not take the bait next time.
