This month for #TeamTuesday we spoke to Melinda Hale, AVP, Senior Safekeeping Specialist from our Birmingham office. She joined FNBB in August of 2013. She is the fourth of six girls and the fifth child. She is married to an amazing man, Michael, for 25 years. She said, “I believe my husband and I have a beautiful love story. We were engaged at a previous time, broke up for 10 years, and got back together.” She has an awesome stepson, Michael, and a beautiful granddaughter, Gen’Nasha. She has lots of nieces and nephews who are her children as well. She lived in Dallas, TX for 15 years and has worked in the banking industry for 47 years. What’s your favorite thing about FNBB? I enjoy working here because it’s family oriented. When I was hired here I knew 2 people already that I had worked with previously, and once I got here I realized I had worked with one other person. I began to talk to other people in the Baton Rouge office and that’s when I experienced how nice they are, especially those I would be speaking with on a daily basis but also in other departments. I didn’t feel like a stranger, but a part of an organization that cared. I’ve only felt that way in one other organization, and I was there until I moved to Dallas, TX. My plans are to retire from FNBB. What is your favorite season and why? My favorite season is Spring because I love the blooming flowers and the scents of them blooming. I guess you can say I love the smell of spring and the blooming flowers and colors, although sometimes it doesn’t like me (allergies).
