The Wintrust Mural Building now features Pullman National Historical Park and their official friends group, the Historic Pullman Foundation, with artwork by local Pullman artist Joe Nelson. The design captures the uniquely American stories mandated by President Barack Obama at the grand opening of Chicago’s national park: The industrial history of the Pullman Company, the labor movement and the Pullman Strike, the rise of the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters, and the history of urban planning and the Pullman company town.
