Contractors working on public improvement projects after July 1, 2024 - if your company plans seasonal layoffs, check your employee and supervisor training dates to be sure they've had training in the last 12 months. If not, train before they leave. Proof of training is due on the March Annual Report. And, while you're at it, be sure that they've participated in random drug testing. That proof is also required on the Annual Report. Need help? Call our offices!

Today's the day Clearinghouse II takes effect. For CDL drivers in a prohibited status in the Clearinghouse, that means that their CDL license will be suspended until they go through the return to duty process with a DOT substance abuse professional (SAP). Have a driver who needs a SAP in Ohio? We recommend Margie Roop LPCC-S CEAP SAP. Give her a call! https://lnkd.in/eTRhQREq

Over the last twenty years, First Connect has provided drug free training to tens of thousands of employees and supervisors. We've developed countless policies and helped thousands of employers keep their team drug free in all areas of Ohio and 38 states. We could tell a thousand stories about the places we've been and people we have met along the way. We know we would not be here without the trust our clients and business partners have put in us over the years. Thank you for a great twenty years! We're looking forward to twenty more! #20YearsStrong #DrugFree #DrugFreeSafety

October is Substance Abuse Awareness month. This is a good time for employers to review their programs, ensure their supervisors are trained and make sure they have resources for their employees, in the event they wish to seek assistance. Don't forget the Substance Use Recovery and Workplace Safety program will reimburse the costs of training, policy development and even some testing. Call us. We can help. https://lnkd.in/exBHYa9D
