First Citizens Bank today announced that its Capital Equipment Finance business has named Jon L Brown as director of business development covering the Southwest region, which includes Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Oklahoma. In this role, Brown is responsible for providing a full suite of equipment leasing and financing solutions to companies with at least $75 million in revenue. He is based in Austin, Texas and reports to Kevin Ronan, head of First Citizens Capital Equipment Finance. “Jon joins the Capital Equipment Finance team with extensive experience in business development and sales in the financial services industry,” said Ronan. “We’re looking forward to leveraging his expertise to build and strengthen our client relationships in the Southwest.” Brown brings over 20 years of relationship management, sales and business development experience to First Citizens. He most recently served as Vice President, Syndication and Direct Origination at Umpqua Bank where he was responsible for buying and selling lease and finance transactions from banking and finance company sources. Prior to that, he served as the Commercial Sales Leader of Western Alliance Equipment Finance at Western Alliance Bancorp. Earlier in his career, Brown held several sales and business development roles in various groups at General Electric Capital Corporation, including in Healthcare Equipment Finance, Vendor Financial Services and Commercial Finance. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. First Citizens Capital Equipment Finance is a leading provider of large-ticket equipment financing solutions.
