It’s hard to believe, but First Alliance Credit Union has been around since 1932. That’s right. We began with just seven city employees (teachers and fire fighters). We were the first credit union in Rochester, Minnesota. Of course, now our membership is open to everyone who lives, works, worships, shops or attends school in Olmsted, Winona, Wabasha, Dodge and Goodhue counties. Our mission is expressed best by our new tagline: All For One. Simply put, ALL we do is FOR every ONE of our members. And that means you. Give us the opportunity to help make your financial goals a reality. You won’t be disappointed.

Congratulations to OAKS Scholarship recipient, Abrahan Garcia! Abe's journey has been one of resilience and determination. Abe lost his mother when she passed away giving birth to him. Following that, his father, two older brothers, and two older sisters moved a lot. Abe did not have a typical stable childhood. "I was unable to participate in extracurricular activities because of my other responsibilities." - working to help his family. When asked about the impact of receiving the OAKS Scholarship would have, his response was, "I hope that one day I can give back to them and be able to pay for their college." Abe wants to pursue nursing, partly due to losing his mother but also to take advantage of his location here in Rochester and the connection to the Mayo Clinic. Despite the adversity Abe and his family have gone through, he remains positive. "We are blessed and happy on where we are today. We are still growing."
