The oldest pollen in our freezer was harvested in 1988 by my grandfather CE McClure (not for sale!). We don’t recommend storing pollen that long, but our latest blog post provides some guidelines for growers with some pollen in the freezer, and explains how we store and test pollen to ensure maximum viability.

Providing supplemental pollen & flower thinning services for a variety of almonds, cherries, apples & more since 1933.
关于我们
For four generations the Firman Pollen Company has been supplying supplemental pollen to customers across America and around the world. Since 1933, our pollen has been used to increase crop size where pollination problems are limiting fruit production, or fruit quality. Pollination problems associated with poor weather, weak beehives, or limited bloom overlap can be minimized as soon as they are apparent. The Firman Pollen Company supplies pollen for apples, pears, almonds, cherries, plums, apricot, pistachios, hazelnuts and nectarines.

Drone technology is promising for all kinds of ag uses — including pollination. We tried spray pollen application by drone for the first time this spring. We’ve still got work to do to measure coverage and effectiveness, and perfect mixing and loading, but we’re excited about the possibilities! Thanks to our partner in California, Ag-bee.com

Short-ovule receptivity cherries (Early Robin, Skyler Rae, Orondo Ruby, Tieton, Regina, and Benton) are some of the most challenging to set. And, it’s almost time to do it again! We’ve pulled together the best info we could find from researchers, growers, and our own experience in a new blog post. Give it a read, and stop by our booth at Cherry Institute on Friday and Yakima with ideas or questions.
