Last week, the Fort Sill Half Section, Basic Combat Training trainees and Maj. Gen. Phil Brooks proudly joined the community for the annual Holiday in the Park Parade! It was a fantastic evening celebrating the season and showcasing the strong bond within the community. ?? ?? #FortSill #HolidayInThePark

#NAHM: Growing up on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation, GySgt Daniellle Kinney's parents shaped her into the leader she is today. Her mother, a former wildland firefighter turned anthropologist, taught her independence and cultural awareness through educational road trips across tribal lands. Her Marine Corps veteran father instilled discipline and toughness through Navajo traditions, from early morning prayers to teaching his daughters to be as capable as any warrior. These lessons prepared her perfectly for the Marine Corps, where she's excelled as a recruiter, traveled globally and currently serves as Administrative Chief while completing her education at Grand Canyon University. Her parents' emphasis on education, resilience and cultural pride continues through her as she inspires the next generation of Native American service members. #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth #USMC

Col. Lourdes Costas, commander, 31st Air Defense Artillery, attended a new Moth+Flame virtual reality SHARP training with 24 of the Soldiers under her command. Moth+Flame is an award-winning VR technology platform specializing in enterprise-grade immersive learning products with true-to-life environments, characters and scenarios. Participants will navigate emotionally charged situations grounded in real stories to practice proven communication skills and learn reporting guidelines to intervene and support survivors of sexual assault effectively.
