Using artificial intelligence to predict and stop the spread of wildfires globally
关于我们
Lightning initiated fires are responsible for 70% of the area burned across the western United States. Fire Neural Network (FNN) detects lightning initiated fires in seconds. By using satellite data, implementing FNN's proprietary lightning detectors, UAV FireBird, and unleashing the power of artificial intelligence using signal processing tools from astrophysics, Fire Neural Network delivers actionable intelligence in real-time.

Transforming Wildfire Protection with GIS Technology ? Lightning strikes play a key role in igniting wildfires, with over 80% of the burned area last year in California was caused by lightning. As climate change increases wildfire risk, quick access to accurate data on high-risk lightning strikes is crucial. ? At?Fire Neural Network, we’re addressing this challenge by combining our High-Risk-Lightning? detectors with Esri Dashboards to provide real-time data that helps firefighting services allocate resources efficiently. ? One of our key successes is working with Deputy Marshal Adam Panos and Chief Dan Munsey, MPA, EFO, CFO in San Bernardino County, California, to convert their static Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) into a dynamic, GIS-enabled platform. This interactive solution provides up-to-date wildfire risk maps and resource allocation, improving communication with stakeholders and enhancing wildfire preparedness. ? Our collaboration with?Esri?through the Startup Program has been essential in creating these innovative, GIS-powered solutions. We’re excited to continue leveraging ArcGIS to help protect wildfire-prone communities around the world. ? Thank you?Esri?for writing this piece, showcasing our work, and for your ongoing support in helping us push the boundaries of wildfire protection with GIS technology! ? ?? Lightning Strikes: The Leading Cause of Wildfire Acreage Burned in 2023 ?? Every year, wildfires devastate vast landscapes, and while not every lightning strike poses a threat, the ones that do can lead to catastrophic consequences. Identifying these high-risk strikes is key to wildfire prevention. According to recent data from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE), lightning was responsible for over 80% of the total acreage burned by wildfires in California in 2023. This staggering figure highlights the critical need for timely and accurate detection of High-Risk-Lightning? strikes. At Fire Neural Network, we are committed to detecting these dangerous lightning strikes and providing rapid alerts to help prevent devastating wildfires. By using advanced technology, we're able to focus on the small portion of lightning strikes that actually ignite fires, keeping communities safer and better prepared. #FNN #FireNeuralNetwork #HRL #WildfirePrevention #FireSafety #LightningDetection #FindingFiresLightningFast
