Last week, we attended the AFA Warfare Symposium, supporting and networking alongside our clients, Firehawk and AZAK, as they connected with senior leaders, showcased their cutting-edge defense technology, and gained critical industry insights.
?? Firehawk Aerospace has developed a unique 3D-printed fuel technology for safer, more cost-effective propulsion. Their systems replace current cured rocket motors with 3d printed solid fuels, supporting rockets, missiles, munitions, small unmanned systems, and other defense applications with greater speed and lower cost to help warfighters be ready today.
One application of Firehawk’s unique capability enables Combatant Commanders to pre-position stocks of their “fuel” which can be rapidly 3D-printed into solid propellant at the point and time of need. The technology dramatically improves production speed and supply chain resilience, enabling Agile Combat Employment (ACE).
?? AZAK has reinvented the wheel and reimagined airfield and battlefield mobility solutions. Each AZAK wheel integrates a motor, battery, controls, braking, and steering, eliminating the need for additional components. AZAK enables modular electric mobility solutions for logistics, combat and command and control applications.
One application is DART, a Deployable, Adaptable, Rechargeable, Transportation (DART) designed for Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC). This four-wheel unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) is lightweight, off-road capable, and quick to deploy, making it ideal for special operations forces and ACE.
