Fun Fact Friday: Extinguishers Did you know there are different types of Fire Extinguishers, so you need to verify which kind you need. ABC extinguishers- The most common type of fire extinguisher, and can extinguish fires of class A, B, C, or any combination of the three. Powder extinguishers- Can handle solids, flammable liquids, gases, and electrical fires, and are recommended for all businesses to have at least one. Water extinguishers- The most common type for class A fires, which involve ordinary combustibles like paper and wood.
