Last week they attended the PRSA Hawaii’s 2024 Koa Anvil Awards at the Prince Waikiki where we celebrated the best of Hawai?i’s public relations programs and practitioners. Koa Anvil Awards highlight outstanding public relations programs and campaigns, while Koa Hammer Awards are for tactics that are part of a communications campaign. Our team crushed it at the Koa Awards, bringing home 4 Koa Anvil Awards and 7 Koa Hammer Awards for our stellar work with Grace Pacific, Honolulu Festival, Nareit, Hawai?i Tourism Authority, and Hawai?i Visitors and Convention Bureau! We’re beyond thrilled to share that Anthology also won the Best of Show Award for HVCB’s Mālama Maui (care for Maui) – Recovery Phase efforts following last year’s devastating Maui wildfires. This year, Travel Media Awards – in partnership with FINN Partners, APL Media Limited, Intrepid Travel, and TTG Media launched “Step Up”, an internship programme aimed to drive diversity and inclusion in travel media for young people. Today, we are excited to welcome Kira Richards to the FINN team as our intern – Kira will be diving into both our PR and Digital departments, and here’s what she’s looking forward to during her time with us: ? “I’m excited to learn about the digital strategy used to create engaging campaigns and contribute my ideas to upcoming projects. I’m keen to discover how PR’s put together press releases and organise trips for journalists, especially as I’m usually receiving (not sending) these! I’m also excited to see how my skill set can apply to a different, yet as integral, role within travel media.” ? With the US election around the corner, we hosted a trip to Washington DC, showcasing its incredible arts, culture, gastronomy, and museums – a must-visit city! In other news, we celebrated the launch of Royal Caribbean Group’s Utopia of the Seas with Visit Orlando, treating media to an unforgettable stay at Universal Orlando Resort and local explorations. Last week, several members of our New York-based travel practice attended Travel + Leisure's first annual #WorldsBestSummit.
