At precisely 6:30 p.m., the event officially commenced with a welcome by Ilkka Penttil?, Director of the Shrewsbury Plant. His introduction provided valuable context on Valmet’s history, mission, and commitment to innovation in the valve manufacturing industry. The highlight of the visit was undoubtedly the factory tour at 7:00 p.m. Walking through the state-of-the-art facility, we witnessed firsthand the meticulous precision and cutting-edge technology that go into crafting Valmet’s industry-leading valves and automation solutions. From raw material processing to final quality control, the efficiency and expertise displayed at every stage were nothing short of remarkable. The integration of automation and sustainability initiatives underscored Valmet’s commitment to operational excellence and environmental responsibility. Following the tour, a thought-provoking discussion on tariffs and their impact on global supply chains further enriched the experience. The conversation, led by industry experts, shed light on the economic landscape and how to navigate these challenges and opportunities while maintaining superior product quality and customer service.
