If you haven't read the just released report on telehealth in NYS, I highly recommend it! This report, researched and written by the folks at Manatt, and sponsored by the NYS Health Foundation, is a critical read to understand where we are in NYS with telehealth regulations, use cases, and innovative approaches to improve access to quality care.

关于我们
We are listeners and healers. We provide quality healthcare in a collaborative, team-based setting. We are a culturally sensitive group, experienced in treating a diverse population. Our philosophy emphasizes wellness and getting to know our patients, allowing us to dig deep to find the solutions that are best for them. Who we are. Finger Lakes Community Health is an independent healthcare organization, founded in 1989 as a provider of healthcare for agricultural workers. To us, building a healthy community is not simply a matter of providing health services, but of being true champions for wellness. We always ensure high-quality care for the communities we serve with an emphasis on underserved and special populations. We pride ourselves on providing healthcare for everyone in the Finger Lakes region including Bath, Geneva, Newark, Ovid, Penn Yan, Port Byron, and Sodus, and Dundee Dental. Six of our health centers, Geneva Community Health, Penn Yan, Ovid, Port Byron, Newark, and Sodus Community Health, have been nationally recognized as Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Homes. We also administer a federal migrant voucher program, one of 22 in the country, to provide health services to farm workers in 42 upstate NY counties. We are listeners, healers, caregivers, and members of a very special medical community. We are Finger Lakes Community Health.

We are so excited to have your support and recognition. Our focus is of course on transforming rural health. Thank you to the Health Foundation for Western and Central New York for this grant.
In 2022, we received a generous surprise gift from billionaire MacKenzie Scott; in the time since, we've continued to distribute those funds to our community partners in the spirit in which they were received. We're proud to announce our latest grantees through our Transform Rural Health campaign: Finger Lakes Community Health, Providence Farm Collective, and Refugee and Immigrant Self- Empowerment (RISE). These three organizations exemplify the best of #ruralhealth: collaborative, personalized, and compassionate services, based on the idea that ALL people deserve their best chance at healthy lives. https://lnkd.in/eCFQwMbh #TransformRuralHealth #HealthEquity

This week two of our team at Finger Lakes Community Health (FLCH) received special recognition and we would like to thank them on behalf of our patients. Margaret Cifonelli-Munger (left) and Olivia Catalano were named “Family Planning Superstars" at the 2024 Provider Meeting in Albany (held by NYS Family Planning Training Center & NYSDOH). These peer-nominated awards were based on their contributions to promote and expand high-quality, equitable, family planning services. Awarded by NYS Department of Health.?

Finger Lakes Community Health was proud to participate in Advocacy Day in Albany. It's our opportunity to meet with our legislators like Senator Thomas O'Mara, Senator Pam Helming, and Assemblyman Brian Manktelow. We talked about the importance of telehealth for our health centers, particularly in rural communities, and so much more. Thank you to our staff who attended this important day and all the days they put in such hard work to care for our patients.

Today Mary Zelazny and Sirene Garcia are at the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) Policy & Issues forum.
