The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) voted to ban virtually ALL #noncompetes on Tuesday. Businesses will be #PROHIBITED from even proposing a non-competition agreement to an employee or #contractor. Roughly 4 million employees making less than $58,656 may now be eligible for #overtime. The U.S. Department of Labor issued a final rule today increasing the #FLSA's salary threshold from $35,568 to $58,656, effective Jan 1st, 2025.
