At fes.ai, we leverage decades of experience in creating mechanical joining solutions for industry leaders such as Caterpillar and Ford. Our founders have worked with virtually every vehicle type on the planet, from semi-trucks to backhoes, supplying engineered fasteners and automation solutions for a range of designs. During the recent global pandemic, we identified two major issues within our field. Firstly, many mechanical engineering programs neglect to teach about critical assembly elements like fasteners, glues, welds, and torqued joints – components used in everything from iPhones to tractors. This gap often leads to costly mistakes as engineers make decisions with limited guidance. Secondly, engineers often struggle to utilize their PLM tools effectively to locate parts, resulting in unnecessary calls to vendors or distributors, contributing to substantial obsolescence costs. We've set out to address these problems head-on. Our innovative tool connects all parts in your system to the specific details of their use – who, when, and how. Further, it provides a digital expert to help designers navigate the parts list, preventing potential mistakes and duplication that could cost millions on every new project. Especially in this era of rapid EV program launches, our solution ensures efficiency and accuracy in design and assembly.

    The industrial #fasteners market is expected to grow $34 billion by 2031 with a 5.5% CAGR! ?? That’s the good news from Caterpillar Inc. To Google to Tesla The bad news is every OEM in the ?? is trying to reduce costs at exponential rates. “Porter's five forces study emphasizes the importance of buyers and suppliers in assisting stakeholders to make profitable business decisions.” The above couldn’t be more true in the current environment. OEMs need to stop asking for price downs, and their vendors need to be better partners when it comes to obsolescence prevention and mistake avoidance for their design engineering customers. Finding Engineered Solutions wants to join the vendor, tiers, and the OEM in a singular mission to reduce cost in a better way. Stop hiring high price “McKinsey like” consultants that charge $$$ millions and provide nothing more than a stock bump. From the tier to the OEM there’s a knowledge gap that leads to mistakes, and the data set internally isn’t searchable or comprehensive.     The stud attaches to the car and the clip attaches to the stud. Which stud type, clinch to drawn arc is the decision but so is the complete solution with the clip choice factored in. New eco option from Stanley. Our takeaway from selling clips for years is to make sure any plastic that snaps on to your vehicle from wing brackets to brake line is easy to assemble and designed with a proper stud or birds beak type clip. Don’t go cheap when you can save on the assembly cost.
