The Finance & Investment Network at GSU

Our biggest event of the semester was a tremendous success! Hosted at the Buckhead GSU campus, students had the incredible opportunity to connect directly with accomplished professionals in hedge funds, asset management, and investment firms. Attendees received personalized resume feedback, actionable career advice, and one-on-one networking with industry leaders. A special thank you to Degas Wright, CFA, Julie Callaghan, Stephanie Jackels, Jody Foster, Jeff Vale, Ryan Scott, Cynthia Dempsey, CFA, CPA, Jeanine Stampfl, Michelle Dobbins, and Lu Chang, CFA, FRM, CAIA for sharing their expertise and experiences. This event highlighted the value of creating spaces where students can learn, grow, and build meaningful connections. We’re excited to continue supporting our members as they work toward achieving their career goals.

Hello FIN members and GSU students! We thought it would be helpful to give you a comprehensive overview of the next 3 events for the semester, and the links to register! This Friday, November 15th will be our Mock Interview and Resume Review, where students will have the opportunity to sharpen their interview skills, perfect their resume, and meet leading professionals from Trident Trust, Infinity Capital Partners, LLC, Axonic Capital, and Balbec Capital LP. Students will get the opportunity to get an inside view of Corporate Banking from several GSU alumni working at Citizens, and have the opportunity to network as well. Students from all backgrounds across the Metro Atlanta area will have the chance to meet amazing founders and investors, and turn their dreams into reality. This Monday we had the opportunity to host Homrich Berg at our weekly FIN Meeting! We talked about opportunities in the finance industry and how to break into wealth management. Gavron Campbell, Hannah Mullins, Sarron Hazqiyal, Sean H. answered lots of questions from our members and we all got the opportunity to network with them after the meeting. Thank you all for coming to our first Recruitment and Interview Prep session! We had interactive learning activities, peer networking, and members had the chance to practice answering some common interview questions. Some members also brought in resumes for us to review, and we were happy to help! We hope to see you all next Monday!

Join us this upcoming Monday for our Recruiting and Interview Prep Meeting! This will be a great opportunity to learn how to prepare and be your best self for recruiting season, as well as how to navigate and ace every interview. You will also get the chance to meet and network with peers after the meeting! We will have food, drinks, and lots to learn!
