WHEW there is a lot of talk about return to office. In many cases, return to office can be culturally destructive - unless it's treated like the massive REORG it is, with all the human-centered change management that entails. Here is what leaders (*who are not demanding return to office just to get employees to quit*) need to know to make it successful: https://lnkd.in/eBBNuzYP (the image below can have a double meaning depending on how sincerely an organization engages in return to work policies!) #returntooffice #learninganddevelopment #HR #workplace #culture #filmforward

Get this: 97% of workers say poor communication affects their daily tasks, while 91% feel their managers fall short, and 60% of companies lack a long-term strategy for effective communication (McKinsey). And let's be real, if a majority of your workers are based in the US, you have a workforce that is *activated* right now. We have launched two new curricula to help teams work and grow together: Art of Civil Discourse: Self-awareness, generous listening and productive conflict resolution Impactful Interactions: Expectations, Feedback and Accountability These can be offered separately or together. We are here to help. https://lnkd.in/eaqqVRzx

We know, everyone is still harping on technical skills as the most important challenge facing the workforce. But according to the World Economic Forum's Future of Jobs Report 2023, critical thinking, creative thinking, and problem-solving are among the top skills that will be crucial through 2027. Some facts: - LinkedIn's 2024 Workplace Learning Report highlights that 92% of executives believe soft skills are *equally or more important than technical skills.* - Deloitte's Human Capital trends found that teams with high emotional intelligence scores show 25% better performance outcomes - AND employee retention improves by 31% when organizations invest in right-brain skill development (that is millions and millions of dollars of savings) Anyhoo we'll be over here offering right-brain training for every level of the organization using the power of storytelling! #learning #development #HR #workforce https://lnkd.in/eHW-wFXc

How do we maintain strong team dynamics when our people are spread across different locations and time zones? There are three main pillars: 1. Intentional connection - how can you use learning to build cohesion that doesn't feel forced? (Enforced fun is no fun at all) 2. Equitable development - using technology to make sure efforts at building cohesion reach everyone. 3. Cultural reinforcement - ensuring that company values are explicit and reinforced by example. #learninganddevelopment #companyculture #HR Read more: https://lnkd.in/eqFGmDkx

"Recent research from Gallup reveals that disengaged teams cost U.S. companies up to $350 billion annually in lost productivity. " And - it just stinks to be on a team that isn't working well! It's exhausting, isolating and leads to burnout. If you've ever been on one of these teams you already know this. This article is to help highlight how while organizations may not feel YOUR pain, they will feel the pain of dysfunctional teams in the pocketbook. #learninganddevelopment #blog #teamdynamics #filmforward #HR https://lnkd.in/eKVyUuRH

We've launched the Right Brain Blog: We refuse to call them “soft” skills because they’re the hardest to learn. This blog explores the right-brain training we need to build healthy, productive and engaged workplaces. Our first post is wildly self-serving, but also majorly scientifically backed: story based learning works *22 times* better than traditional tell-and-test methods. Find out more about why: https://lnkd.in/dPUp6E3N

This week we're highlighting one of the stellar films from our Effective Teams curriculum. Barefoot Empress tells the story of a 96-year-old woman in a Kerala village, who decides to pursue her lifelong dream of getting an education. Having never gone to school, she must start at the beginning...first grade. We weave this into our curriculum to emphasize the impact one person can have. We all have individual strengths and when they're acknowledged, we're more likely to use them. This in turn, makes our teams more collaborative, productive, and efficient.
