Small business owned and operated just as it should be ????????????
Field Service Mechanical Company was founded in 1946 by my late grandfather, Alvin Parker. After serving his country in WWII being stationed in the Tinian Islands and flying B29’s as a tech sergeant he came home safely and remained in the air national guard for many years thereafter while working for his uncle, Charles Salzburg who owned one of the largest machine shops in downtown Manhattan while also doing side work in the Brooklyn Navy Yard on machinery located aboard ships that were in dry dock under the company name Field Service Mechanical Resources. Some years later he went out on his own full time with my father, Steve Parker. Fast forward to present day, I mark the third generation of this machinery repair, rebuild and sales outfit. We service the entire U.S. and further catering to all of the manufacting industries. Providing in plant service or in our extensive machine shop facility located in Bohemia, NY (Long Island). I have solidified some very old relationships and forged some great new ones with both customers, vendors and industry partners. We are OEM referred and recommended by most and now offer new machinery sales from some of the best brands out there. There is an ever growing need for services such as ours and we are constantly looking for self motivated, reliable and dedicated personnel which is becoming very challenging to find. Please reach out anytime if you or anyone you know might have any interest. Pictured is a 1406 Cincinnati Incorporated mechanical shear we rebuilt for AUTEC operations in the Bahamas.
