Today, representatives from the 150+ CancerX member organizations gathered for our annual member meeting. They convened with federal representatives to share cancer priorities and align the CancerX mission, goals, and vision for #digitalinnovation for the year ahead. The resultant CancerX priorities and activities coming from this meeting target outsized impact through knowledge exchange and collaboration by: ??Establishing areas of unmet need in #cancer research and care that digital health solutions can address ??Generating concepts to inform projects and accelerator activities that leverage digital innovations ??Facilitating opportunities for collaboration within the CancerX community and federal representatives And this is just the beginning! I really admire the work that Dr. William Scarlett, D.O., MHCM,FACS,FACOS is doing at Redeemer Health. His perspective that high-quality cancer care goes beyond just oncological care resonates with me and what we are building at Fidari: it's also everything else that cancer patients need to get better. I was impressed with Dr. Scarlett's talk recently at an oncology conference on Integrative Oncology, where he spoke about how it is evolving concurrently with cutting-edge western medical treatment of breast cancer and is an integral component to survivorship. In his own words: "A holistic and comprehensive approach to breast cancer care is essential to treat the whole patient. Understanding how to support breast cancer patients through their entire journey from biopsy through survivorship and Thrivership is essential in creating a state-of-the-art breast cancer program."
