Meet Leslie Harback, another one of our 2025 FH5K Race Ambassadors! "I am a proud alum of Anderson, Nagel, and Maddux, and I am now a 5th grade ELA teacher at Summit Elementary. I also have the privilege of coaching the Summit Running Club! I chose to become an FH5K Ambassador because I love FHSD and believe in promoting a healthy lifestyle. Training with Summit students and sharing my love for running is incredibly rewarding. Encouraging kids to set goals and stay active is so important. Both Running Club and the FH5K help foster that mindset. My favorite part of the 5K is watching my runners cross the finish line and seeing how proud they are of themselves! It’s such a fantastic opportunity for our students and the entire community." Follow me on Twitter: @LeslieHarback Interested in becoming a Race Ambassador? Another upcoming FHSD retiree who we look forward to honoring at the FH5K is Robin Stebbins! Ms. Stebbins has worked in the Transportation Department as a bus driver for 5 years. Favorite memories: She appreciates that the Maddux Elementary Staff is always friendly and helpful!! On her first day of retirement Ms. Stebbins plans on researching volunteer interests she has. Skills she wants to learn/improve: I have many things I'd like to try and see what fits me. What she will miss: Coworkers that share the day-to-day work we do and understand the responsibility we have every day. Help us honor and congratulate Ms. Stebbins at the 2025 FH5K on Saturday, May 10!

Meet the Sherwood Elementary Office Team, another one of our FH5K Race Ambassadors! "Hello from the Sherwood Office Team, where every day is a walk in the park! We have Dan Hamilton, Principal, Trevor Collinsworth, Assistant Principal, Mary Mitchell, Administrative Assistant, and Erin Palin, Health Aide! We wanted to represent Sherwood and the Forest Hills community as Race Ambassadors for the 5K! This is an amazing event for the community and we are forever grateful to the Foundation for supporting our renovations of the Reset Room at Sherwood and providing access for students to compete in our School Spelling Bee! Our energetic office team will create fun, motivational videos to inspire participation in the upcoming race. As champions of our "Game On" challenge, we'll showcase our playful approach to fitness while encouraging everyone to join this exciting event. I can’t promise that you will be chased by any dinosaurs on the route, but best believe it will be a thrilling adventure participating in this event and supporting the community as a whole!" Another upcoming FHSD retiree who we look forward to honoring at the FH5K is Krista Tepe! Ms. Tepe has been a Speech Language Pathologist at Mercer, Summit, Sherwood, Nagel and long-term sub at Turpin, Maddux and Ayer for the past 25 years. Favorite memories: Sharing my love of story-telling with preschoolers with books, especially at Halloween is a favorite. Two different people have recently shared that they became Speech Language Pathologists due to their experience with either them or their sibling having me as their SLP. That seemed pretty special. I also have enjoyed mentoring new SLPs and have also trained a dozen graduate students who were placed as my intern. On her first day of retirement Ms. Tepe plans to hit the road! Skills she wants to learn/improve: Organization of my home!! Learning to be a grandma! What she will miss: The excellent and supportive staff. From day one in 1999, the preschool staff was one where you could state and defend your position on what's best for a child, and accept another's point of view on the same child's needs. Help us honor and congratulate Ms. Tepe at the 2025 FH5K on Saturday, May 10!

I have been greatly impacted by the Foundation’s efforts, benefitting from grant-funded resources within Anderson’s performing arts programs.
