2024 Federal Agency Training Week The Occupational Safety and Health Administration will host a free three-day training event from Aug. 6-8, 2024 to educate federal agency safety and health personnel on how to provide safe and healthful workplaces for federal employees. The event will be held in Arlington Heights, Illinois.? In collaboration with the agency's Office of Federal Agency Programs, the OSHA Training Institute will conduct a series of in-person and online half-day seminars on safety and health-related topics, including the following: ·????????Verbal de-escalation techniques. ·????????Control of hazardous energy, or lockout. ·????????Forklift operation and material handling ·????????Electrical safety. ·????????Fire protection. ·????????Emergency preparedness in the federal workplace. ·????????Scaffolding in construction overview. ·????????Bloodborne pathogens. ·????????Effective respiratory protection programs. ·????????Exposure to silica dust or quartz dust. Open to federal employees, the event will be held at the institute at 2020 South Arlington Heights Road. Participation is free-of-charge to federal employees.?Registration begins June 10 and ends July 19. For assistance, contact?OTI Student Services. The OSHA Training Institute provides training and education in occupational safety and health for federal and state compliance officers, state consultants, other federal agency personnel.
