Today is Chief Royal Ramey’s big day as a featured speaker on the SXSW stage. Thank you to Joel Bervell for moderating the discussion and thanks to Chief Brandon N. Smith for being there to represent The Forestry and Fire Recruitment Program as well!

Congratulations to our most recent graduates of FFRP's career training program! Each of these men worked tirelessly over the past 8 weeks and dedicated themselves to completing their training and bringing themselves one step closer towards a fulfilling career . We were honored to award David Hernandez from the Inland Empire Community Foundation and Jim Taylor from Cumorah Tree Service, Inc. with the Wykin Harris award for their commitment to FFRP’s mission. We would also like to give a special thanks to Actor Clarence "Devine Eye" Maclin for speaking to our trainees and offering them words of inspiration. Also, I want to thank the Office of Senator Gomez- Reyes for presenting additional certifications to our graduates. Many of these graduates are already receiving interviews and job offers, and we are so excited for their next chapter in life!"

I'm deeply honored to share that I've received recognition from The JUMP Project for our transformative work at The Forestry and Fire Recruitment Program. The JUMP Project a groundbreaking initiative by The Just Trust is revolutionizing how we approach second chances through the powerful intersection of sports, entertainment, and social justice. Inspired by the remarkable journey of Larry Miller, Chairman of the Jordan Brand at Nike, this project is creating sustainable pathways to education, employment, and economic mobility for justice-impacted youth and adults. I'm profoundly grateful to Ana Zamora and Ken O. for this meaningful recognition and their transformative work at The Just Trust and their belief in our work at FFRP. I'm excited to continue partnering with these incredible organizations as we work to create lasting positive change in our justice system and communities.
