As "consumers" of such - that's what we expect...and love. We are not expecting anything more substantive than the feeling of sitting in on a "private" conversation. ② ?? ???????????? ???? ???????? ???? ???????????????? ???? ????????????????. As the strategy and advisory leader for our firm - and in this ???? ?????????? role for prospects and clients - attending webinars is about staying close to our/our clients' industry, moving the needle on technology-enabled transformation approaches - you name it. This, after piquing my interest via attention grabbing titles, and providing details of "here's what you'll learn" as part of my registration. Here's my take... ? ???????? ?????? "???????? ?????? ????????????". Deliver what you promote as part of the overall experience. Webinars imply a certain approach to address a need of the attendee. ? ?? ?????? ?????????? ?? ?????????????? ?????? ????????. Ironically, a webinar, yesterday - really a podcast on camera - was by a regular industry podcaster ??♂? and an industry SME. Two men having a "private" conversation - I didn't need an underdelivering webinar to experience that. I left quickly. ? ??????'?? ?????????????? ?????? ???????????? ???????????????? ???? ???????? ??????????????. Knowing their intent and how they process your subject matter will dictate the content. ④ ???????? ???? ?????? ???????????????? ???? ?? ?????????????? ?????? ?????? ?????????? ???????????? ?? ????????????????????? Exactly. This polar opposite scenario proves the point of my opening assertion. Not only isn't it the experience I would expect, I would be robbed of the clarity I was seeking. SAP announced 2 things that you NEED to digest ASAP (kudos if you get my inference ??...) ① SAP Business Data Cloud/BDC (by Databricks) ② 2030 Migration Deadline to S/4HANA (or the "reprieve option" of using RISE). Our team is already digging into the far-reaching impacts of both, however, here is our initial POV: "???? ????????" ?????? "???? ???????? ?????? ?????????????????? ????????" - ???????????????????? ???? ?????? ???????? ?????? ???? ???? ??????????/?????????????? ???? ???????????????? ???????????????????????? (?????? ???? ??????????????). ① The underlying intent of the BDC isn't just "big data" for better/faster decision making. Having worked in, both, the ERP and "Big Data" space partnering with the likes of IBM, Informatica, Talend, and Oracle - this problem has been solved - and solutions put in place - over 10 years ago. The question is...will organizations - YOURS - be willing to play the "all for one, one for all" game with your data to "train" AI in this domain? With all-sized enterprises asking these questions of us over 6 months ago - AND of SAP and other vendors - this issue is now proliferating on a massive scale, and QUICKLY. Our guess is that new and renewal contract language will reflect this "no other choice but to opt in" trajectory. We'll have more insights on this in the coming weeks as we continue to work with more and more organizations on how best to navigate this situation. ② The 2030 to S/4HANA migration deadline - and "the RISE reprieve" as we call it - may be another "sense of urgency" approach to impact pipeline. However, consider these initial factors as you assess (possibly) "Who has the leverage, here?". End-of-life is not new in the ERP world - this is typically driven by the need to improve software based on market/client demand AND, either, it's not technologically possible to improve, or the engineers to make such a move are no longer in large supply - or both. SAP conveniently co-mingled a) the "+5yr window" to seem to accommodate what it will take to migrate ???????????????? ??????????????????, balanced with b) the pipeline impact of "the RISE reprieve" given that RISE is now a "less than attractive" option for ?????? customers of SAP. Our clients continue to have this option on the table as potentially new SAP customers - particularly those that are open to the "fit to standard" approach. We are already getting inquiries to help organizations determine what's possible (plus, considering migrating to other vendors...) so, we'll be sharing how best to navigate this situation, very soon. "?????? ?? ????????" ??????????????: ?????? ????????-????-?????????? ???????????????? ???? ?????? ???? ???????? ??????????. This is indicative of a very layered and multi-dimensional truth - which we refer to as the "matrix": clients paying "?????? ?? ????????" rates for resources that don't have the functional or industry consulting experience coupled with a not-so-agnostic perspective of the many solutions brought forth as "options". ?????????? ?????????????? ?????? ???????????? ???? ???????? ???????????? ?????????????? ?????? ?????????????? ??????????????????????????? ???? - as they seek the perceived benefits of these "?????????????? ????????????????". Even mid-sized boutique firms - built by former partners of "?????? ?? ??????????" with the premise of "we're better than the "?????? ?? ??????????" - haven't redefined themselves any differently than where they originated. Mid-sized boutique firms are initially attractive for junior staff coming from the "?????? ?? ??????????" as they seem to have advancement opportunities that they wouldn't have otherwise, and previously, had access to. Most importantly - to address the revenue gap brought about by under-performing junior staff, "?????? ?? ??????????" and mid-sized boutique firms are building (or have built) solution-specific practices, thereby losing their "independence" and solution-agnostic approach to evaluating, selecting and implementing the right technology for their clients. We could go on with other examples of these ?????????????? ????????????????, however, everyone knows what's in those ?????????????? ????????????????, right? ?? We regularly advise companies to be wary of entering those same ?????????????? ???????????????? - they (or YOU) might just step in something.
