We are profoundly saddened by the sudden death of our Board Member, Amy E. Shine, Ph.D. Amy was a fierce advocate for our organization, giving of her time and expertise to assure every life possible was saved. She will be truly missed. https://gofund.me/b7a0ac6a
On January 16, 2025, Amy E. Shine died suddenly while in the hospital in Tennessee. She went into the hospital a week ago with a sudden life-threatening illness. She responded well to treatment. In the early morning, she coded and couldn’t be brought back.Amy was an incredible soul: fierce, passionate, loyal, generous, verbose, principled, and the best adventure partner.Her family is spread across the country. Her mom, Christie, has already had to fly from California to Tennessee to see Amy. Her sister and nephew are in Upstate New York, her partner Richard is in Tennessee, and her dad Val is in Oregon.Funds will go toward covering:Travel for familyFuneralFinal Resting PlaceMemorial and RemembranceAny amount helps a family who is having a second huge tragedy only months after losing Amy’s brother, Alex. https://gofund.me/b7a0ac6a

This Saturday we had the pleasure of attending Orange County LGBT Pride and distributing over 6000 units of lifesaving naloxone and also fentanyl test strips to individuals and organizations.
