Fengate staff braved the cold and wind with the Innisfil community on Saturday at Friday Harbour Resort, on behalf of the LIUNA Pension Fund of Central and Eastern Canada, as part of the 4th annual “Take the Plunge” initiative. In support of the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre Foundation ’s “Keep Life Wild” campaign, nearly 100 registered to plunge for the cause, with Mayor Lynn Dollin assisting Friday Harbour CEO Hani Roustom into the water as the first plunger. Fun fact: the Friday Harbour team had to use a 35" saw (typically used for forestry) to cut a hole in the ice sheet for plungers to jump in! Donations will be accepted until the end of the week.
