Grateful to have been chosen for #AMPTGrant! While we are excited about this opportunity we also wanted to express our remarks regarding the election: The personal is political. The choices we make in our everyday lives, the way we engage with others, and the values we teach our children all shape the world around us. As we reflect on the outcome of the recent election, let’s lean into the importance of community connections, remembering that our mental health and the act of protecting our energy are vital during times of division and uncertainty. The election results have left many of us feeling divided, both as a nation and within ourselves. Yet, even in the face of this fragmentation, we must remember our shared commitment to one another, especially to our Black and Latine communities. We need to be able to empathize with others, to understand perspectives that may differ from our own. While we may not agree with every viewpoint, it is crucial that we approach each other with kindness, compassion, and an open heart. We must teach our children to be supportive, to listen, and to engage with respect—no matter how challenging the conversation may be. Together, we have the power to transform division into unity, uncertainty into clarity, and frustration into action. Stand with us, stand with each other, and let’s build a future rooted in our peace, hope, and love. As we reflect on the significance of Juneteenth, let us commit to the ongoing fight for justice and equality. This day is not only a commemoration of the past but also a call to action for the future. It is an opportunity to educate ourselves and others, to engage in meaningful conversations about race and history, and to support initiatives that promote social justice and economic empowerment. Let's take a moment to appreciate all the moms—biological, adoptive, spiritual, and those who've assumed the mother's role in our lives. Your resilience and love do not go unnoticed. ??
