Build a business that aligns with the life you want, not what others say you need for success. Vikki Yaffe of Time Hackers Ltd shared what inspired her business: “Realising things don't take time. In 2019 I closed a business I loved after my 3rd burnout and daily anxiety attacks, working 80+ hour weeks. I concluded that success wasn't for me, and started coaching people around anxiety & procrastination while prioritising myself, my health, my life. In 6 months I smashed my 3-year financial goals, then doubled it 6 weeks later. It hit me like a ton of bricks: things don't "take time". With a waitlist of 20+ people desperate to work with me I decided to offer my first mastermind, now our flagship program, "Time Hackers", where I'd share the tools that allowed me to 30x my business. Clients 11x'd their income, achieved their 10 year goals in 6 months, and broke generational patterns of hustle, taking their first real holiday...ever. This is how it stared, but what keeps us going? Unravelling the $billion Time Management Industry that has left us burnt out, exhausted and less productive.” What challenges have you overcome as a female founder? "Firstly, challenges always shape?our success, so we've had a lot of them. The ones I'll share about are personal?- I was put on bed rest when I was pregnant, sole income earner in my family, and a business that relied on me to deliver. Far from ideal. This shaped the business we have today - instead of abandoning my 50+ clients or working through bed rest, I made a decision to?train coaches in our unique tools so I could guarantee the high quality my clients had come to expect. This program now runs every year,?clients come from all over the world to certify with us, and we?constantly hear how excellent our coaches are, whether they serve our clients or do their own thing. Now? We have 15+ coaches on our team and offer the most accessible coaching program on the planet,?partner with forward-thinking companies who support their people around their time and are leading the Time Revolution, together. This challenge pushed us to evolve from a founder-centric model to one built on scalable tools and client-focused solutions, creating a more robust business and allowing us to reach more clients, faster.” What advice would you give to other women? "Expect to fail, expect to be embarrassed, and expect things to go wrong – repeatedly. There's no magical arrival point where you stop being human. The real breakthrough comes when you learn to fall in love with your humanity instead of chasing an impossible ideal of perfection. This mindset shift will help you achieve more, faster. Want to finish at 3 PM for school pickup? Do it. Don't automatically import corporate practices that didn't serve you well. You have the power to design your business around your life, not the other way around. The most successful businesses reflect their founders' authentic values and lifestyle choices.”
