I had an amazing time speaking to some of the smartest women and young entrepreneurs I have ever met yesterday at Princeton University’s second annual FEMALEFOUNDED conference. I spoke about the power of congruent leadership in shaping a powerful and authentic brand. The attendees’ eagerness to learn and achieve was palpable, and it was an honor to be able to serve and help them in some small way. ??

It was an honor to speak at Princeton University’s FEMALEFOUNDED conference. I’m not able to truly put into words how impressed I was with these incredible, driven young women. They are all at different levels of education, some already entrepreneurs, some in the development phase, and some simply interested in entrepreneurship. I went in thinking we would spend our time discussing money habits to consider as an entrepreneur, though we spent most of our time speaking about money mindset and money beliefs. It was so eye opening for me to hear about their experiences growing up and their awareness of how these beliefs are shaping their entrepreneurial journeys, even for these younger generations, despite research showing that women ages 22-39 are more comfortable talking about money than older generations. It was also pretty incredible to have my teenage son there to witness me speak for the first time and pay me the highest compliment: “You cooked!” ?? Thank you to Maggie W. and Jana Pak for your vision and leadership in creating this space.

It was a real honor for Ankh Impact Ventures to again sponsor the Princeton University FEMALEFOUNDED 2024 Conference held on Saturday November 16th on campus as we continue to help foster women student entrepreneurship and back more female founded mission-aligned impactful early stage technology enabled start ups ! Congratulations Maggie W. and Jana Pak Co-Directors and their board on an amazing #FemaleFounded2024 conference at Princeton University for making the event a huge success ! This conference was powered by the dedication of 10 board members, 15 Day-of officers, and 120 accepted attendees—including 40 founders from 25 startups that they flew to Princeton. Together, they represented 23 universities, 11 states, and 2 countries. Their top 3 startups—Healthiator, LearnDetect, and Talentos Unidos—were invited to a celebratory dinner at Prospect House with investors, executives, and the board. The Princeton University #FemaleFounded2024 Conference further established itself for its second year ! They hosted 16 inspiring speakers, like Sarah Kauss (S’Well) and Suneera Madhani (Worth AI). Their panel on AI Empowering Diverse Fields featured Manuela Veloso (Head of AI Research at JP Morgan), Jagriti Agrawal (Kira Learning), and Deborah Yang (Daizy AI). I was also joined by 7 other investors, including Lauren Kim, Eva Gajzer (Oneness), Liz Federowicz (Expa), Brooks Hosfield (SciFi VC), Anne-Marie Maman (Princeton Entrepreneurship Council), and Walinda Ali (I-Corps). Congratulations Francesca on being one of our Top 3 Startups! You and LearnDetect are amazing.
Yesterday, I was invited to the Princeton University FEMALEFOUNDED Conference, an amazing event designed to connect women in entrepreneurship, investors and founders, from major universities across the US. As part of the conference, I participated in a pitch fair with 30 startups from various sectors, and I was glad to be recognized among the top 3 startups by a panel of investors focused on women! This recognition made me pause and appreciate the incredible year I've experienced and the supportive people I’ve met!

So excited to have you, Teresa!
Before starting my MS at Notre Dame, I had a conversation with Carlos that opened my eyes. He’s been working tirelessly to help immigrants in the U.S. with legal work permits find jobs, while many companies face labor shortages. Carlos’s efforts inspired me to ask:?"How can technology amplify this impact?"?That’s how?Talentos Unidos?was born. Many immigrants ready to work arrive with little more than their cellphones. They may not know how to use LinkedIn or Indeed, but they do know WhatsApp. Our WhatsApp-based chatbot 'Tommy' makes it easy and secure for immigrants to share their information, which is then delivered to HR leaders through an admin site—connecting talent with opportunity. Our mission is simple: create opportunities, bridge gaps, and empower people to build the future they deserve. Will this idea resonate with investors? I’m not sure. As a social venture, it might not appeal to everyone. But I believe in its potential to drive meaningful change, and I’m excited to showcase it at?FEMALEFOUNDED at Princeton University.

I'm excited to share that our early-stage startup, focused on empowering and making a significant impact in women's health, has been selected as one of the 30 female-led startups to present at the FEMALEFOUNDED Conference at Princeton University. On coming Saturday November 16th, we will showcase our innovative idea and present our vision for the future. This wouldn't have been possible without the invaluable learnings, supportive ecosystem, and mentorship provided by wonderful peers and mentors in Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship
