Female IN (FIN)?

FIN is a community organization. What the #metoo hashtag triggered across the globe, we began with FIN some two years earlier with a population of women from a culture much less permitting and with deeply entrenched traditional, cultural, belief structures which historically belittle or disregard a woman’s voice. Our members - FINsters - are proud to be the first generation of women predominantly of African descent, to defy cultural norms to share stories about our experiences; good, bad and ugly with each other thereby normalizing discussions around 'taboo' topics such as sexual abuse, mental illness, fertility and more. We have repurposed storytelling from a tool of women's oppression to a vehicle for compassion, connection and community. Founded and led by LOLA OMOLOLA
