Calibrating Steel Tape ? Whether setting benchmarks and elevations inside buildings or performing general control checks, we need to make sure our trusty steel tape can provide an accurate read, here are the steps we take to do this: - We send off our calibrated steel tape to get certified that it is measuring correctly - We unspool our steel tape and use the baseline setup in our office (very convenient!) to repeatedly measure between two points, using the correct tension on the tape - Always double check the steel tape to make sure you can read the same measurement twice to pinpoint its accuracy Follow us for more surveying tips and fundamentals! ?? .
