We were honored to host Christy Uffelman, BCC, MHCS at our recent FEI event, where she led an insightful and interactive Fireside Chat focused on building meaningful connections and fostering authentic leadership. Christy shared powerful takeaways, including: ? The importance of facilitating positive workplace culture and creating "3rd places"—spaces where people feel safe to connect and collaborate outside of work. ? How vulnerability is a cornerstone of authentic leadership and inspiring a more genuine culture. ? Ways to motivate and inspire teams by embracing accountability, celebrating successes, and learning from challenges. Her perspective reminded us that leadership isn’t just about strategy; it’s about creating spaces where people feel empowered to bring their best selves to work. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this dynamic conversation! If you missed this event, we encourage you to attend future FEI gatherings to gain valuable insights like these. Let’s continue advancing the success of financial leaders together.

Anita Dressel’s path from engineering to executive leadership has been anything but conventional, showcasing her passion for innovation, growth, and adaptability. Beginning her career with a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, she quickly realized her desire for a more challenging, expansive role. Her journey led her through multiple leadership positions,?in start-up and multi-billion-dollar global companies, and ultimately guiding her to TeleTracking, where?she recently transitioned from CFO and COO to President. ? In Anita’s words,?"I love the mission of TeleTracking, and I want to help this company?excel. My goal is not defined by titles, but by impact."?Her emphasis on?continuous?learning and?strategically broadening her perspective?has?enabled?her success, leading her to embrace roles outside her formal background and become a driving force behind TeleTracking’s operational and financial health. A true advocate for leadership without limits, she encourages her team to break boundaries and take ownership of their growth.?"I am not putting any box or boundary around you,"?she tells her team, a reflection of her belief in empowerment and unrestrained career development. ? Her involvement with FEI Pittsburgh has provided her valuable networking opportunities and fostered her growth as a leader. "I first attended an FEI event through an invitation from Deloitte. The leadership discussion was intriguing,?and the post discussion even better. After that first meeting, I thought, this was a really great event, the content was exceptional, and the networking opportunities were invaluable.?I joined FEI and began participating in events regularly.?This is a great organization, and I would advocate for all senior finance leaders to participate!”? ? Anita’s story and values offer a powerful example of leadership driven by resilience, adaptability, and a commitment to lifting others—a legacy she hopes to instill within her teams and through her work with FEI.
