Last Thursday, Stonebridge Financial Group, LLC hosted a Women in Business Happy Hour at Englewood Brewing benefiting US! And WOW did we have a great time! We had the chance to speak with so many wonderful women in our area, remind them to "feel their boobies" through the "Are You Doing It" Reminder Campaign and pose for some laugh-worthy photos with Naterpix Photobooths while the room filled with musical selections by Nick Minahan We are so appreciative of the nearly $4,000 raised through donations, raffles, and the live auction. Today is a special day for our Founder, Leigh Hurst, AND Feel Your Boobies Foundation. Today is the day Leigh's whole world turned upside down. Today marks the anniversary of the day when she found out she had breast cancer. It was also the day that sparked her commitment to spreading awareness that YOUNG WOMEN CAN AND DO GET BREAST CANCER. The Feel Your Boobies Foundation was born from her experience as a 33 year old undergoing treatment for breast cancer and realizing that none of the messages she had ever heard about breast cancer, or her risk, ever felt like they were speaking to her. And she was destined to change that. From a viral shirt with a cheeky saying, to an organization going 20 years strong, Leigh turned her idea into a reality, harnessing the power of speaking to an audience that was left out of breast cancer education.
